Terms and Conditions

These simple terms explain how tourists should use Arunachal Guide and what to expect from the travel planning support.

Last updated: 30 June 2026

1. About Arunachal Guide

Arunachal Guide provides tourism information, tour packages, registration, itinerary support, local experiences, and connections with participating tour operators and service providers in Arunachal Pradesh and Northeast India.

Tours depend on availability, permits, weather, road conditions, government instructions, and local safety advice. The website is not a government permit portal or emergency service.

2. Prices and changes

Prices shown or discussed before confirmation are estimates. The final price is confirmed only in a written quotation, voucher, invoice, or booking message from the concerned operator.

Prices may change because of accommodation, vehicle, fuel, permit, tax, route, group-size, or supplier changes. If a major increase occurs before confirmation, the traveller may accept, modify, or cancel the proposed plan.

3. Inclusions and exclusions

Only items clearly listed under “Included” in the confirmed package form part of the booking. Meals, entry fees, optional activities, special permits, personal expenses, and other items are excluded unless specifically included in writing.

4. Booking and payment

Website registration is an inquiry, not a confirmed booking. A booking becomes confirmed after the required advance is received and written confirmation is issued.

Unless the written quotation states a different schedule, payment may be collected as:

  • 15% when booking is confirmed
  • 30% on the first day
  • 30% around the middle of the tour
  • 25% on the final day

Delayed payment may lead to paused or cancelled services. Always pay only through details confirmed by the concerned operator and keep receipts.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Unless your written confirmation provides different terms, the following cancellation scale applies:

  • More than 20 days before departure: refundable after deducting non-recoverable supplier costs
  • 20 to 14 days before departure: up to 50% refund
  • 14 to 7 days before departure: up to 30% refund
  • Within 7 days or no-show: no refund

Refunds depend on amounts recoverable from hotels, vehicle providers, permit services, activity providers, and other suppliers. Approved refunds may require processing time.

6. Changes requested by travellers

Changes after confirmation, including dates, route, pickup, drop, accommodation, vehicle, activities, or group size, depend on availability. Additional charges and supplier cancellation costs may apply.

7. Weather and events beyond control

Weather, landslides, road blocks, strikes, medical emergencies, security restrictions, government orders, natural events, or similar circumstances may require a route change, delay, substitution, or cancellation.

In such cases, refunds are limited to amounts actually recovered from suppliers. Extra accommodation, transport, meals, or route costs are normally paid by the traveller unless agreed otherwise.

8. Documents and permits

Travellers must provide correct details and carry valid government identification, Inner Line Permit or other required permits, and any documents requested by authorities.

Permit approval is controlled by the relevant authority and cannot be guaranteed by the website or an operator.

9. Health, fitness, and insurance

Travellers are responsible for deciding whether they are medically fit for mountain roads, altitude, walking, adventure activities, weather, and remote travel. Inform the operator about medical needs, senior travellers, children, disabilities, allergies, or food restrictions before confirmation.

Travel and medical insurance are strongly recommended. Emergency treatment, evacuation, and medical costs remain the traveller’s responsibility.

10. Accommodation and transport

Hotels, homestays, vehicles, drivers, and guides depend on availability. Where a confirmed service becomes unavailable, a reasonably similar alternative may be offered. Mountain travel time is approximate and may change.

11. Traveller conduct

Travellers must follow safety instructions and behave respectfully towards communities, guides, drivers, hosts, other guests, wildlife, sacred places, and the environment. The traveller is responsible for damage caused by their conduct.

Illegal, dangerous, abusive, or seriously disruptive behaviour may result in service refusal without refund.

12. Third-party services and liability

Many services are delivered by independent hotels, homestays, drivers, guides, activity providers, permit facilitators, and other suppliers. Arunachal Guide is not responsible for indirect losses or failures outside its reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms removes any right or responsibility that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian law.

13. Website information and links

We try to provide useful information, but roads, prices, permits, opening times, festivals, and availability may change. External portals, social media, and video links have their own terms and privacy practices.

14. Complaints

Report a service problem to the operator or tour coordinator as soon as it occurs so there is a reasonable opportunity to resolve it during the trip. Keep relevant messages, invoices, photographs, and receipts.

15. Personal information

Registration and contact information is used for travel planning, service coordination, record keeping, and communication. Please read the Privacy Policy for more information.

16. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Indian law. Subject to applicable consumer rights and dispute-resolution requirements, legal matters will fall under the courts with appropriate jurisdiction in Arunachal Pradesh.

17. Updates and contact

These terms may change when services, package policies, laws, or operating conditions change. The latest version appears on this page.

For clarification before booking, contact the tour operators and request the final quotation, inclusions, payment schedule, and cancellation terms in writing.
